Welcome to my company, Blue Marlin Candles. My name is Kristy and I've always had a passion for creating things and I loved the idea of being able to create something that not only looked beautiful, but also had a practical use.

Growing up having a true passion for the ocean and fishing, I was always inspired by the natural beauty of the ocean and the fresh scents of sea salt, sand, and sea breeze. I wanted to capture that essence in my candles and bring a piece of the coast into people's homes.

I started experimenting with different types of wax, scents, and containers in my spare time, and soon found that 100% soy wax was the perfect medium for creating candles with a clean burn and a long-lasting scent. I sourced natural fragrances like lavender, peppermint, and eucalyptus, and added ocean-inspired scents like sea salt, driftwood, and citrus to my repertoire.

Eventually, I decided to take a chance and sell a couple of my candles and to my surprise the response was overwhelming - people loved the unique scents and designs of the saltlife, and many customers returned to purchase more.

Today, my candle business has expanded to an online store and wholesale distribution to local boutiques and gift shops. I continue to experiment with new scents and designs, and am always on the lookout for ways to make my business more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Starting a candle business inspired by a coastal lifestyle has been a rewarding and fulfilling experience for me. I love being able to share my passion for candle making with others, and I'm excited to see where my business will take me in the future.
